Sounds of Soil

June 2026, from our early field notes

Namaskaram,

Sounds of Soil began with a personal question: what does it really mean to live well?

Wan Hui and Andrew laughing outdoors while holding Nandi.
The three of us, still figuring it out together.

That question led us to food, to farmers, and back to the soil. We began to see how what we eat shapes how we feel, how we gather, and how the land is cared for.

Today we are working closely with a small number of farms and food merchants across Malaysia, building practical tools for less order mess, better food within reach, and a closer relationship between growers and eaters.

We are still early. Honest conversations are shaping the product, notes are piling up, and Nandi is keeping morale high while asking for snacks.

If something here feels true, come say hi or pass this note to someone who grows, sells, cooks, buys, studies, or simply cares about better food. Tell us what you are growing, eating, worrying about, or hoping for.

We are building this with care, close to the people doing the work.

With hopeful hands and muddy paws,

Wan Hui, Andrew, and Nandi
