Who’s responsible for what
Every visit is run by its organiser, not by Sounds of Soil. Each organiser sets their own cancellation and refund policy, and it applies even when you get your ticket here.
01What Sounds of Soil does
We help you discover farm visits and handle registration and tickets for visits booked here. We check that verified organisers are who they say they are.
We don’t run visits, hold your payment or issue refunds. We email registered visitors when an organiser changes or cancels a visit. Signed-in visitors who save a visit can choose email updates; guest saves stay on their device. We follow up with organisers if something goes wrong.
02What organisers are responsible for
Running the visit safely, as described. Receiving payment directly. Publishing a clear cancellation and refund policy on every listing, and honouring it.
Telling us about changes or cancellations as early as possible, so we can let everyone know.
03What you’re responsible for
Reading the organiser’s policy before you register or pay. Arriving on time, following the organiser’s safety guidance, and bringing what’s listed.
Cancelling through your ticket if you can’t go, so your spot can go to someone else.
04Listings that aren’t Verified
By the organiser: you register and pay on the organiser’s own page. Found by Sounds of Soil: we found it online and haven’t confirmed the details. For both, check details and policy with the organiser directly.
05If something goes wrong
Contact the organiser first. If a refund owed under their policy hasn’t arrived within 7 working days, tell us and we’ll follow up. Organisers who repeatedly don’t honour their policy may lose their Verified status or be removed.
06Farm waiver
A working farm is outdoors and uneven: tools, animals, insects, mud, sun and rain are part of the day. By registering, you accept these ordinary risks for yourself and for everyone you register, and you agree to follow the organiser’s safety guidance while you are there.
The organiser runs the visit and is responsible for what happens on their land. Sounds of Soil introduces you to the organiser and handles registration; we are not liable for injury, loss or damage during a visit, except where the law says otherwise.
Tell the organiser before the day about anything they should plan for, such as allergies, mobility needs or young children in your group. A organiser may ask anyone who ignores their safety guidance to leave.
